Arrow Escape Game: Find Every Way Out
Think of each arrow as something trying to get out of a crowded room. It can only move one way, and it can only leave if the corridor in front of it is empty. An arrow escape game is about clearing those corridors in the right order.
Try it: a small 3×3 board.
Exits, not just arrows
Instead of looking at the arrows, look at the four edges of the board. For each edge, ask: which arrows point toward this exit, and which one is closest to it? The closest one with an empty corridor is your next escape.
Tips for crowded boards
- Clear one side at a time. Pick the edge with the most outward-pointing arrows and empty it before moving on.
- Open corridors, don't chase arrows. Sometimes the best tap is an arrow you don't care about, simply because it is standing in someone else's corridor.
- Count what's left. When only a few arrows remain, trace each corridor once before tapping. Late mistakes cost the most thought.
- Take a break. Escape boards often "click" after a minute away.
Arrow escape vs. arrow puzzle
Same game, two ways of looking at it. The arrow puzzle guide works from the arrows and their blocking chains; the escape view works from the exits. Use whichever one your eyes find faster on a given board.
